Overview
Headquarters:
Richmond, VA, USA
About Us
Mission:

The State Power Caucus (SPC) is a peer-to-peer collaboration of state-based, power-building organizations and allies. Established in this uncommonly volatile moment of both political crisis and opportunity, we seek to build multi-racial independent political alignment and secure governing power that will advance racial, gender, immigrant, economic and ecological justice and achieve a truly democratic and equitable society.

Programs:

We are a formation of twenty-one organizations, primarily people of color led, from seventeen states.  Our geographic reach extends across the United States. Our affiliated State Power Organizations (SPO) are aligned with a common purpose of advancing economic, racial, environmental, and social justice.

About Us

Mission:

Nugen's Ranch serves adult men and women who have abused alcohol and drugs. The beautiful Matanuska-Susitna Valley setting, daily Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings, NA meetings, farm activities, work therapy, individual and small group counseling combine to create a supportive low-key family atmosphere.

Programs:

Alaska Addiction Rehabilitation Services, Inc. is located in the outskirts of Wasilla, Alaska where for nearly forty years it has been the only agency in the state to offer long-term residential and work-based substance use treatment. AARS operates a 116-acre working farm that grows and sells hay, vegetables, flowers, and pigs. The farm provides residents opportunities through work therapy to learn life skills and habits that help gain new skills for staying sober and develop habits that support them in remaining substance-free for the rest of their lives. AARS is known for its low recidivism rate (approximately 50% remain substance free for two years after leaving); it has a strong partnership with Alaska’s court system, and judges routinely send individuals to AARS who have not been successful in previous treatment programs.

Size:
11-50 employees
About Us
Mission:

We have one mission: winning high-quality paid family and medical leave for everyone.

Programs:

Paid Leave for the United States (PL+US) is the national campaign to win paid family leave by 2022, founded by Katie Bethell, who Fortune Magazine named one of the world’s greatest leaders. In just four short years, PL+US has won paid leave for nearly 8 million people. We’ve won change at some of the top employers in the country, including Walmart and Starbucks, and we’re taking that momentum into the fight to win national public policy. Paid leave is poised to take off as the next high-profile national issue.

Since our founding, the PL+US team has tripled in size and has cultivated a culture that is bold, curious, real, excellent, and compassionate. We are agile, collaborative problem solvers who are passionate about winning paid leave and we mean it when we say that family comes first, for those we fight alongside and for our own team.

Awards & Accolades:
Katie Bethell, Founder & Executive Director, The World's 50 Greatest Leaders, Fortune
Why Work For Us?:
  • Awesome team of high impact, low ego people who live by our organizational values: be bold, curious, real, excellent and compassionate.
