Horn of Africa Education Development Fund (HED) is a non-profit organization enabling transformative change in the Horn of Africa through education.

Programs: 

Over the past ten years, Horn of Africa Education Development Fund and Abaarso School of Science and Technology (Abaarso) have made tremendous inroads in education in Somaliland, as demonstrated by Abaarso’s overwhelmingly successful alumni, the majority of whom have attended prestigious schools and universities internationally, the development of Barwaaqo, a teachers’ college in its second year, and the construction of the first K-12 Kaabe school, which has accepted its first class this fall.
