Seeking a full-time member to join our Early Start Developmental Services team to carry out pediatric treatment plans for infants and toddlers with physical and/or developmental delays.  Will provide early intervention services and parent training designed to maximize client and family functioning in the South Sacramento area.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Will develop family outcomes and plans based upon initial evaluations by the Early Start Developmental Services team; primarily serving families between Yuba City and Sacramento.
  • Coach family members to assist their child(ren) with practicing activities as assigned by the child development specialist .
  • Instruct family members/caregivers in the proper and safe usage of adaptive equipment.
  • Evaluate and provide services to pediatric clients in various natural environments, including the family home, community and other settings.
  • Provide input to Individual Family Service Plans as requested by a client’s service coordinator via progress notes, re-evaluations or other means necessary such as emails, phone calls or letters.
Educational Background: 
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, Human Development, or Special Education or related field. Master's degree ideal.
Skills/Experience: 
  • One (1) year full-time professional experience with pediatric experience.
  • Home visiting and infant development experience preferred.
  • Ability to speak Spanish a plus!

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  •  Requires possession of a current valid California Driver's License, proof of insurance, and a good driving record.  Position requires 100% travel between families' homes.
  •  Position requires possession of current certificates in Adult CPR with AED and Infant/Child CPR & Basic First Aid (on-line not accepted).
  •  Position requires current fingerprint clearance through the Department of Justice and FBI.
  •  Position requires pre-placement physical and back assessment.
  •  Position requires proof of negative TB test within the past twelve (12) months.
