The scope of work for the fellow will focus on monitoring and evaluation and research support for the maternal, newborn, and reproductive health in emergencies team at Save the Children.
The Spring EHN Monitoring and Evaluation Fellow will work with the reproductive health in emergencies team to compile, analyze, and disseminate data and information from response programming, while supporting data use and capacity-building for specific emergency programs. This will be an opportunity for current graduate students to gain exposure to humanitarian response and programming, while applying classroom learning in research and data analysis to real-world scenarios. Students will also gain experience in technical writing and the process of manuscript publication.
- Support the Reproductive Health in Emergencies M&E team review reproductive health data collected from facilities into the global facility data base, training database, community database, and promote using all of this data for programmatic action
- Support the RHiE team with literature reviews, data analysis, and technical writing for manuscripts related to reproductive health programming in emergency contexts
- Draft blogs and briefs to highlight the research and technical learnings from emergency reproductive health programming
- Any other reasonable duty as may be assigned that is consistent with the nature of the job and level of responsibility
- Possess strong written skills, solid interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Coursework and/or experience in program planning, research design, data collection, data analysis
- Coursework and/or experience in data entry and analysis software (STATA, SPSS, SAS, etc.)
- Independent problem-solver and decision-maker.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; detail-oriented.
- Currently eligible to work in the U.S.
