Precision machined product manufacturing firms range from 2 to 200 employees per firm, with an average of 35 employees per firm. Precision machining manufacturers provide critical products for the transportation, medical, electronic, electrical, aerospace, appliance, and recreational industries, among others.

COMPUTER SUPPORT SPECIALIST TRAINING

The Computer Support Specialist Training Program prepares individuals to provide technical assistance, support, and advice to computer users, covering common issues with software, hardware, and networking. The program includes instruction and hands-on practice with computer concepts, information systems, networking, operating systems, computer hardware, the Internet, software applications, help desk concepts, and problem solving, as well as principles of customer service. 

FIRST ROBOTICS

Each year, the Illinois Manufacturing Foundation sponsors Team 2136 in the First Robotics Competition. Under the direction of seinor mentor Ira Cohen, local students collaborate to build a robot that will compete live against other teams from around the nation.
