Do you want to support teens in giving them the power to create or influence any law or change minds by using their voice? As the teen leadership director, you will develop, oversee, implement, and evaluate various youth and teen programs, including but not limited to Youth and Government, Pacific Region Conference, Youth Leadership Development, Kids Night Out and Summer of Service.

Areas of Responsibility: 

If hired for this position you will develop, plan and deliver curriculums and programs, and coordinate schedules in conjunction with other staff and programs to enhance participation levels. You’ll train and support assigned staff and teen program volunteers and assist in providing them training and development opportunities. You’ll work with the marketing and communications team to develop a marketing plan specifically designed to reach teens.

You will develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community organizations and participate in partnerships and collaborative meetings as requested. You will also assist the staff leadership team in reaching Annual Campaign goals through annual giving, major gifts, and/or endowment by telling the Y story and raising charitable dollars to fulfill the mission.

Educational Background: 
I have a bachelor’s degree in education or a related field, OR equivalent knowledge and experience.
Skills/Experience: 
  • I have two years’ related experience working with youth/teens that includes supervision, fiscal management, program development, staff and volunteer development.
  • I have a positive attitude and previous experience with teens and diverse populations.
  • I enjoy working with teens.
  • I have knowledge of teen issues, interests, and activities and can relate to, instruct, and mentor teens.
