Annual Budget :
$5-10M
Size:
11-50 employees
Founded:
1986
About Us
Mission:

Founded in 1986, the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit research and educational organization that develops medical, legal, and cultural contexts for people to benefit from the careful uses of psychedelics and marijuana.

Programs:

MAPS is a 30-year old non-profit research and educational organization that develops medical, legal, and cultural contexts for people to benefit from the careful uses of psychedelics and marijuana. Emerging research indicates that psychedelic therapy has the potential to be a breakthrough approach in treating PTSD, depression, addiction, and other medical conditions. This shift has the potential to unlock previously unavailable resources for the investigation of psychedelic-assisted treatments applied to our most critical mental health challenges. The Director of Sales and Major Gifts role is an instrumental player in bringing this healing modality to the forefront of mental healthcare

Why Work For Us?:

MAPS is a 100% fully remote organization. We value transparency, autonomy, experimentation, and kind, direct feedback. We welcome applicants who thrive during a growing decentralized organization that values science and healing.

We believe in diversity and inclusion of people of all backgrounds, genders, races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, educational backgrounds, arrest or conviction record, military and veteran status, religions, abilities, and perspectives. MAPS values and seeks applicants who are people of color, queer, transgender, gender non-conforming, and gender fluid.

California Labor Federation, AFL-CIO

Overview
Headquarters:
Oakland, CA, USA
Annual Budget :
$5-10M
Size:
11-50 employees
Founded:
1901
About Us
Mission:

The California Labor Federation is the largest state Labor Federation in the United States. It is also among the most progressive. A prominent Sacramento publication recently referred to Labor as the 800 Pound Gorilla at the Capitol.

The Federation is an umbrella organization comprised of more than 1,000 unions, representing 2.1 million union members: in manufacturing, retail, construction, education, transportation, hospitality, the public sector, healthcare, entertainment and other industries across California.

The mission of the Federation is economic justice, shared prosperity and racial equality for workers, their families, and all people. We achieve this by building the power of all working people through organizing, collective bargaining, political action, legislative action and community alliances.

In Sacramento, we advance policies to support quality job creation, ensure community health, promote shared prosperity, and increase justice for working families and all Californians, including all people of color and immigrant workers. We believe that economic justice is first achieved through working people standing together with a voice at work, and then using that power to deliver tangible victories, particularly for disadvantaged communities.

Why Work For Us?:

Do you want to make a difference in economic and social justice, racial equality and the lives of working families here in California and influence policymaking nationally? This is the place to be.
