Working together to strengthen families and ensure high-quality child care and early learning across Los Angeles County.

Programs:

The Child Care Alliance of Los Angeles (CCALA) is a partnership of ten Resource and Referral and Alternative Payment agencies in Los Angeles County. Together, our agencies deliver services to thousands of families and child care providers. Services include offering training and one-on-one coaching for child care providers to improve the work they do with children; assisting parents in finding and identifying quality child care; and providing information to parents and child care providers on topics such as health, oral health and nutrition. Through our member agencies, CCALA has the ability to reach providers, families and children at a grass-roots level in multiple languages and a strong understanding of their areas’ unique communities.

CCALA is the glue that brings together our ten member agencies around:

  • Best practices and standardized methods in the child care voucher programs
  • Advocacy on behalf of working parents and their children as well as in making improvements to government systems and programs
  • Coordination of county-wide services delivered by several or all of the agencies to families and providers in the areas of improving child care quality and well-being of the child.
  • CCALA also manages and maintains the California Early Care and Education Workforce Registry and provides training to selected child care centers in the National Early Care and Education Learning Collaborative (ECELC).
