As a community resource, the Empowerment Center offers services and programs to individuals experiencing domestic violence. It’s a safe space to rest and regroup where survivors can get in-person crisis support, assistance with food and clothing, referrals, and help applying for restraining orders. The EC also houses SAVE’s individual, group, and family counseling services, as well as a robust Community Education program.

  • first-generation college student

  • unemployed/underemployed adult

Using an intensive case management and 360 wrap-around support service program, our attentive case managers assess the individual needs of each participant and coordinate support and resources — such as tuition assistance, exam fees, or childcare — to fit their needs and goals. When participants complete their education, we job place them in a position that aligns with their goals and skills and continue checking in for the first year to ensure job retention.
