Monthly Quran Study Circle

We build our relationship with the Quran through discussion and reflection with community members of all ages. Click to see past discussion topics.

Annual Eid Festival

Our Eid festivals feature an English sermon and prayer, followed by brunch and children’s carnival. Last year’s festival boasted fresh waffles and funnel cake, a petting zoo, face-painting, balloon animals, bounce houses, and more!

Welcoming Ramadan

NWMI’s Ramadan programming centers around community fellowship, spiritual growth, and fun activities for families and children of all ages—beginning with our Welcoming Ramadan Festival!

Journey to Arafat

NWMI shared in the Hajj journey by creating a mini-Hajj outdoor program to connect us to our community and nourish our spirit during the Hajj season.

Camp NWMI

Our annual Camp NWMI program invites Muslims ages three to fourteen (3-14) to spend two weeks participating in age-appropriate activities that help nurture Islamic identity.

Hunger Van

One of our longest-running service projects is a collaboration with Hunger Van to help those who need it most in the Washington metropolitan area.

Faith in Action: Race, Religion, and Politics

NWMI’s three-part social justice series drew lessons from Imam Hussain’s (as) legacy of standing against brutality, intolerance, and hypocrisy, by examining the intersection of Islam, race, and Black Lives Matter.
