About Us
Mission:

Eradicate cervical cancer by:
* conducting cutting edge research on early prevention and treatment
* implementing sustainable strategies that can be scaled in limited resource settings
* leading advocacy for evidence based strategies and policies

Programs:

In 2018, El Salvador became the first country in the world to procure careHPV tests as part of a national cervical cancer prevention program, which includes screen and treat procedures and traing medical personnel. The success of the El Salvador model can be replicated in other countries in the region and throughout the world.

BHI is subcontracted under three large NIH grants administered by the Cleveland Clinic and Rice University, doing groundbreaking research in mobile treatment devices for low resource settings. Site locations include El Salvador, China, Mexico anc Colombia

BHI was awarded the Celgene Cancer Care Links Grant, a new grant program designed to build healthcare capacities in resource-limited countries around the world. An anticipated 5,000 women will be screened and treated. The project is to ascertain patient acceptability of self-sampling, as well as introduce thermal ablation into Haiti.

Why Work For Us?:

We are a small but passionate team. We are self starters and hard workers. We believe we can make a difference and save lives through research and implementation.
