This position includes performance incentives based on revenues generated and profitability of operations.  This person will be based in our Washington, DC office at 458 New Jersey Avenue, SE 20003.

Organizational Structure

Control Point Group is a lean, small business with a very flat organizational structure.  We stress a team approach in dealing with clients. Our services to political campaigns are complex and time sensitive and often require multiple staff members in the servicing of a single client.  We also occasionally use contractors for third-party services with whom the account executive will be in frequent contact.

 

Timeframe:  We are hiring immediately for employment through 12/31/18 with the potential for a full-time offer.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Own the strategic, creative, and production process for each client you are assigned
  • Development of new leads not previously active with the firm
  • Update Customer/Contacts database to reflect communications with prospects
  • Marketing support for other senior staff as directed by a partner
  • Creation and distribution of reports to clients
  • Distribution of invoices to clients
  • Email and telephone follow up on accounts receivable
  • Program research
  • Operations support for other senior staff as directed by a partner
  • Serve as primary point of contact for all Access Live programs
  • Ensure that jobs are progressing through the creative and production processes

 

  • Digital content creation for web, social media, and emails
  • Digital content publishing and updates – must have some experience with NPG and NationBuilder
  • Data entry – must be fluent in Access and Excel
  • Program monitoring
  • Updating our central database at each point in the client program process to reflect progress
  • Ability to use both PC and Apple programs

 

 

Office Hours:  Normal office hours are between the normal business hours of 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. weekdays.  Between October 1 and Election day, office hours will extend to include nights and weekends.

 

Compensation: Compensation shall be based on qualifications and experience and will take two forms.  Control Point Group will pay the employee a base salary. In addition, Control Point Group will compensate the employee with a bonus based on the gross revenue billed and collected from projects obtained and managed during the 2018 calendar year.  The bonus is payable on 12/15/2018.

 

Trial Period:  There shall be a 30-day trial period of contract employment in which either party may terminate the agreement for any reason.

 

Termination After Trial Period: Early voluntary departure from the firm will void any bonus payments. If Control Point Group terminates the employment agreement without cause, the bonus payment will be calculated as a proportional share of the end of cycle bonus as calculated at the time of termination.  This bonus severance payment shall be paid within 30 days of termination.

 

Personal Leave Policy: Control Point Group will pay for five days leave after the first six months of work.  No personal leave may be taken between October 1 and November 3, 2018.

 

Noncompete/Nondisclosure/Confidentiality: This person must agree not to work for any other business selling political consulting services through 12/31/2018 and not to disclose to third parties any and all information provided by Control Point Group during the course of this agreement with Control Point Group.
