The Resource Development Manager provides staff support and management in the areas of campaign management, donor relations and engagement, volunteer engagement and administrative support.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Work closely with the President in managing the LCUW development strategy in alignment with the organization’s mission and vision.
- Create and implement organizational plans relating to workplace and corporate giving consistent with overall resource development strategy.
- Ensure accuracy of donor reporting and database management.
- Work with President to develop and execute effective planned giving and major gifts strategy focusing on legacy gifts.
- Plan and execute leadership giving strategy focusing on gifts of $1000 or more.
- Provide leadership and guidance to affinity groups including leadership giving societies (Tocqueville, Young Professionals, Emerging Leaders), strengthening relationships with key constituencies.
- Serve as staff liaison to Resource Development Committee and Campaign Cabinet.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree preferred, with experience in business management, sales, fundraising, marketing, public relations or related field.
Skills/Experience:
- Equivalent experience working in fundraising or donor engagement functions.
- Experience working within donor software is helpful.
- Must be proficient in the latest Microsoft Office environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Proof of a valid driver’s license is required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Normal office environment with little exposure to dust, noise, temperature, and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Additional work beyond standard work week is often required.
- Extended viewing of computer monitors and frequent sitting.
- Local travel on a regular basis and regional travel on occasion.
Compensation/Benefits:
Salary: $31,000 to $40,000 per year
