United Way of the Plains (Wichita, KS) is currently seeking a full-time Continuum of Care Planning Specialist. This position will engage and work collaboratively with non-profit organizations that participate in the Wichita-Sedgwick County Continuum of Care (also known as Impact ICT – CoC), including organizations funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) CoC Program.

Areas of Responsibility: 

This position supports the planning, monitoring, and grant writing functions of the CoC. The CoC is designated by HUD to coordinate the homeless crisis response system for the Wichita-Sedgwick County coverage area.

Educational Background: 
Advanced education beyond high school and experience with HUD’s CoC Program is preferred.  
Skills/Experience: 
  • The successful candidate will possess excellent individual and group rapport-building skills, oral and written communication skills, experience in facilitating consensus and decision-making on inter-agency issues, along with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • We seek an individual who is energetic, knowledgeable of collective impact strategies, experienced in capacity building, and possesses a passion to make our community better.
