To motivate and inspire people in Palm Beach County to experience United Way of Palm Beach County as the best way to get involved in the community.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Supervise personnel and systems in Marketing, Events and Community Relations in their effort to motivate to promote and support the United Way experience
  • Assist in creating new revenue streams for United Way of Palm Beach County through creative cross-promotions and community partnerships
  • Contribute to the development of new campaigns and corporate partnerships
  • Speak before a variety of community groups about United Way’s impact, community involvement and messaging and on mission events
  • Develop strategies for marketing and promoting the organization
  • Develop and implement a marketing plan that inspires people in Palm Beach County to invest in United Way of Palm Beach County, including tactics, materials, advertising, promotion, events, recognition, and appreciation
  • Manage the quality and consistency of message in all organizational materials
  • Represent the organization in the media when appropriate
  • Evaluate effectiveness of work plans and results achieved and systematically make improvements to future plans
  • Participate on relevant community task forces, commissions, and committees
  • Assist with the organization’s disaster response efforts
  • Perform other duties as opportunities are presented and/or assigned by the President and CEO
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s Degree in related field is required
Skills/Experience: 
  • 10+ years of marketing, public relations, or community relations experience
  • Experience working in a team environment, facilitating groups, and working with leadership volunteers
  • Strong organizational, time management, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Must be flexible with changes, able to work independently, and have strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, Publisher, and Power Point
  • Demonstrated outstanding interpersonal, meeting facilitation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to build consensus and facilitate collaboration and productive relationships with diverse individuals, groups, organizations, and community
  • Ability to successfully move diverse groups of people toward a common vision
  • Flexibility and ability to work on multiple high priority projects
  • Ability to solve problems independently, effectively, and creatively
  • Ability to analyze work plans strengths/weaknesses and develop innovative strategies to maximize results
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
