If you answered yes, then the Treasure Coast Early Steps program of Easterseals Florida is looking for you to fill the role of Intake Coordinator. 

The Treasure Coast Early Steps program serves children from birth to age 3 with developmental delays.  The Intake Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Early Steps program by completing intake duties for every family referred to our program, as well as ensuring the information is entered correctly data into the Early Steps Data System.

What you'll be doing:

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for the Early Steps program, obtaining all referral messages and ensuring callbacks are returned promptly
  • Explain the Early Steps program and philosophy to all program referrals
  • Accurately create and update electronic charts in the Early Steps Data System, documenting all contacts in the records
  • Review the Medicaid and/or insurance information with the families and obtain policy information
  • Schedule initial evaluations with the family and follow program guidelines
  • Process appointment cancellations and reschedule appointments
Educational Background: 
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Skills/Experience: 
  • One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports and correspondence
  • Strong computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to accurately enter data into a computer database system
  • An energetic and professional individual who will promote a positive, respectful and team-based environment
