We are looking for a passionate, innovative, and dynamic certified Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist (ITDS) to join our team of evaluators. The ITDS's primary responsibility is to complete exit evaluations for children leaving the Early Steps program at age 3 or when their goals are met. Easterseals Florida is seeking an individual who is able to develop positive relationships with children and families and is willing to coach and share their knowledge and skills with the families and other professionals. This position is full-time at 30 hours per week.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Complete exit evaluations for children leaving the Early Steps program at age 3 or when their goals are met
- Work independently completing exit evaluations in the natural environment
- Participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary evaluation team and complete appropriate developmental evaluation tool to determine eligibility for the program following the established eligibility criteria
- Provide a written record of the services provided to be incorporated into the child's clinical record
- Participate in staff meetings and/or planning conferences for the development of the IFSP, review of procedural safeguards, and other areas of program development
- Submit all clinical and billing documentation on a timely basis.
- Maintain an effective and professional working relationship with families, co-workers, and referral sources.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; and one to two years related experience and or training.
Skills/Experience:
- Florida Certification as an Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist (ITDS)
- Florida Medicaid (Therapy and/or Early Intervention) Provider Number
- NPI Number
- Confirmation of Enrollment in CMS Provider Management System
- Experience with the Battelle Developmental Inventory is a plus
