Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania is a non-profit organization providing programs and services to individuals with disabilities and other special needs. We are looking to hire a dynamic nurturing Personal Care Aide to work with children ages six weeks through prekindergarten age at the Easterseals Child Development Center in State College.
This job opportunity is a full-time position. Great benefit package provided. The CDC Child Development Center is open Monday–Friday. Work hours are 8:30 am- 5:30 pm. There is no weekend, evening or holiday work.
Areas of Responsibility:
- As a Personal Care Aide, you would be responsible for aiding students with physical, cognitive and social delay in developing their self-sufficiency, communication, interpersonal, and mobility skills. In addition, the Personal Care Aide encourages, supports, and educates students by assisting them in the performance of daily living activities necessary for their comfort, well-being, and integrity.
- The duties of the Personal Care Aide include any activities that allow the student to participate to their maximum capacity and in the least restrictive environment.
- The Personal Care Aide generally provides individual services to a child.
Educational Background:
High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
Skills/Experience:
- Two+ years of related work experience required.
- Acceptable Criminal Record Check required.
- Acceptable Child Abuse History Clearance required.
- Acceptable FBI Clearance required.
- Passing of physical examination and TB required.
