The primary role of the Working Bridges Resource Coordinator (RC) is to provide onsite resource coordination for employees at their place of work. The RC meets with employees individually to assess, educate and coach them about community and employer resources to address life issues that are impacting work productivity. Developing trusting relationships with employees, managers, human resource staff and community partners is the heart of the RC work. As a member of the Working Bridges team, the RC will participate in the evaluation, training development and innovation pilots for the employer network.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  •  Develop and maintain relationships with employees, employers and community partners.
  •  Provide employees with individual assistance in accessing resources to resolve non-work issues that directly or indirectly impact the individual’s work life.
  • Create and develop outreach strategies for sharing resource supports for workplaces.
  • Deliver resource presentations at employee meetings.
  • Collect data and provide reports to employer partners.
  • Manage evaluation of services for RC’s employer worksites.
  • Participate in trainings, community meetings and innovation work.
  •  Represent Working Bridges at community and association meetings.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree preferred with direct experience navigating community resources and working across sectors managing multiple relationships.
Skills/Experience: 
  •  Certified Community Resource Specialist (CRS) through Alliance of Information & Referral Systems (AIRS) and Financial Coach.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to build relationships, honor diversity and adapt to different work environments.
  • Strong communication skills; excellent listening skills and effective speaking skills. This includes the ability to communicate in an approachable and understandable way for diverse audiences and with populations whose first language may not be English.
  • Organization skills are necessary to manage multiple commitments to employer worksites, complex employee resource needs, program responsibilities and development work.
  •  Knowledge of local community partners, including employers, nonprofit organizations and government agencies.
  • Willingness to work different shifts at employer sites.
  • Demonstrated neutrality, objectivity, professionalism, problem-solving, confidentiality, and calmness under pressure in a work setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, and customer/client databases desired.
  • Position contingent on state and national background checks.

PHYSICAL/OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid driver’s license and personal transportation.
  • Must be willing to work remotely requiring transportation of office materials and supplies throughout Northwest Vermont.
  • Must be willing to work non-standard work schedule including early mornings and late evenings; After-hours event attendance occasionally; Some overnight travel may be required.
