Easterseals Washington is recruiting for ABA THERAPISTS for our ABA therapy program in Silverdale. This program provides center-based services. The ABA Therapist provides specialized behavioral intervention services and therapy for children with autism spectrum disorders and related developmental disabilities. High school diploma or national equivalent required and full paid training to help you attain your Registered Behavior Therapist certification provided.
Basic Responsibilities:• Provides 1:1 Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy services in accordance to plans approved by the BCBA
• Tests, evaluates, documents, and graphs/charts learner progress in targeted areas
• Maintains learner programs appropriate for each learner’s needs, as indicated by the BCBA
• Remains current regarding new research, current trends and developments in special education and related fields
• Performs other duties as assigned
- Associates degree in early childhood education/development, early childhood special education, special education, psychology or related field
- Knowledgeable of methodologies found to benefit children with ASD, including Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA)
- Familiar with the field of early intervention
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills, while able to appropriately interpret and implement policies, procedures, and regulations
- Ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion pertaining to the work environment
- Must obtain a Department of Health Affiliated Agency Counselor license
- Must pass Washington State criminal background check and FBI fingerprint check
- Must have proof of U.S. citizenship or right to work
- Moderate to advanced computer skills (MS Office applications)
- Ability to work independently.
- Obtain and maintain CPR certification
