This position supports United Way’s individual giving efforts by focusing on donors who give $750 - $2,500. This position develops positive relationships in order to raise financial and volunteer resources to partner with United Way in meeting community needs.
This individual will work to increase the number of donors to United Way from workplace giving campaigns and other channels, and integrate online direct mail campaigns. This position will also focus on encouraging Emerging Leaders to become donors to achieve United Way’s goal of “One in three Emerging Leaders are Donors”.
- Secures increased and renewal gifts from an existing portfolio of donors with the expectation to move donors up the pipeline.
- Updates donor information including interests, strategy, and contact information for portfolio quarterly
- Works with Associate Director to execute year-round cultivation strategies to increase donor retention rates and total dollars raised
- Makes annual donor calls on loyal donors to solicit planned gifts and share information on United Way’s planned giving program.
- Stewards individual donors through personalized recognition and engagement opportunities
- Analyzes giving trends and identifies prospective opportunities for fundraising.
- Assists in the development and implementation of year-round strategies for recognition, communication, moves management, and donor engagement with an intentional focus on the Emerging Leaders group.
- Tracks donor movement, significant activities, financial projections, and donor information in Microsoft CRM, as it relates to the portfolio.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with prospective and current donors, including a range of both sophisticated donors and those new to giving
- Basic knowledge of fundraising techniques and volunteer management
- Demonstrated ability to perform statistical analysis, set goals and objectives, plan, coordinate, and organize groups of people
- Demonstrated ability to use discretion and independent judgment and/or independent action in evaluating situations and making decisions
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including public speaking
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse staff and a strong track record of working effectively across teams
- Excellent task, time, and project management
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, Enterprise, and Microsoft Dynamics CRM experience a plus.
Education and/or Experience:
- Must have at least two years' experience in fundraising and/or sales support. An understanding of marketing, brand management, fundraising, and message strategy is desirable.
The annual recruitment range is $60,800 to $62,700, depending on successful experience and prior accomplishments.
