Basic Responsibilities:

• Assist Early Childhood Educator with children in a developmentally appropriate and inclusive educational curriculum for young children, in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards 
• Provide extra support for children with atypical behavior and those with special needs. Work collaboratively with staff and parents about issues related to atypical behavior or development and the individual needs of children. 
• Complete accurate and timely case notes and progress notes pertaining to each session with child and/or family. Provide Early Child Educators strategies and techniques on how to work with children with disabilities and/or atypical behavior. 
• Ensure the safety of children with disabilities and/or atypical behavior.
• Assist in the development and presentation of staff in-service trainings regarding early intervention, and other related topics as directed. 
• Perform other assignments as needed base on associate’s expertise, knowledge, ability or needs of the program. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field of Psychology, child development, or special education 
• Currently enrolled in coursework towards Marriage and Family Therapy Counseling Master s degree. 
• Must be supervised by a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
