Under the direct supervision of the THVP Program Director, the Community Outreach Liaison is responsible for the strategic outreach planning to ensure seamless referral to enrollment process.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • To strategically identify referral sources and recruit enrollment for the THVP program.  
  • Conduct referral source follow up to ensure timely services and a trusted referral source base. 
  • Represent Easterseals RGV programs in the community and serve as a resource for children and families.  
  • Develop, and coordinate outreach plan to incorporate the Coalition Strategic Plan. 
  • Assist with the parent engagement through Group Connection meetings and Parenting Seminars. 
  • Will work with the Program Director to plan and implement the Building Healthy Families Conference. 
  • Develop public awareness materials and activities and maintain a positive working relationship with area programs, social service agencies and the medical community.
  • Conduct outreach activities in all hospitals and medical clinics serving children prenatal to five years and identify person or program responsible for child find in each hospital or medical clinic.
  • Maintain ongoing contact and coordination with primary referral sources.
  • Promote the involvement of physicians and other health care professionals in early identification, referral, and service provision to potentially eligible children and families.
  • Write and annually review for Outreach Plan to access effective strategies and needs.
  • Assume other duties as assigned by the program director.
Educational Background: 
Graduate of accredited college with a degree in Marketing, Communication, Education or related field, preferred.
Skills/Experience: 
  • One to three years’ experience in marketing or outreach or community liaison.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, with proven comfort level dealing directly with the public.
  • Good time management skills, excellent follow through abilities and detail oriented. 
  • Ability to work well with others and in a team environment and work with multiple agencies.
  • Bilingual capabilities required.
  • Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License and proof of insurance.
