Summary: Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Individual and Community Supports Program Manager, the ICS Registered Nurse (RN) provides clinical supervision and training to direct service providers providing services to medically fragile consumers. The ICS RN assesses the consumer’s needs relative to these services. The ICS RN is also responsible for conducting supervisory visits, completing direct service provider skills verification, and providing Medication Administration training, Blood Borne Pathogens training, Seizure Management and any other courses as qualified. Basic Responsibilities: Responsibilities: • Completes initial assessment of the consumer’s personal care needs. • Develops a plan of care based upon the assessment of the consumer. • Conducts a home visit at least once every 90 days to assess and re-evaluate the consumer need, modifies the plan of care and conducts the direct service provider supervisory visit. • Monitors and trains direct service providers providing personal care services or services to medically fragile consumers. • Maintains appropriate documentation according to established time lines. • Conducts Medication Administration and Blood Borne Pathogens, Seizure Management and other training sessions as needed to keep staff in compliance • Attends in-services/meetings as required, conducting training sessions when needed. • Requests and secures medication orders when cases are opened and renew every six months. • Reviews Medication Administration Records. • Assists in staff development. • Attend regular group or individual supervision sessions. • Participate in ongoing Quality Improvement activities. • Provide high quality customer service, serving as a positive representative for the agency. • Maintains regular attendance and punctuality, manages use of PTO time (if applicable), and follows all policies and procedures regarding time off. • Follows all ESUCP Policies and Procedures. • Must demonstrate Easterseals valued behaviors of Accountability, Commitment and Caring as appropriate to position. • Completes required training within prescribed timeframes. • Performs related duties as requested. Qualifications: Qualifications: • Registered Nurse currently licensed to practice in North Carolina. • Two years’ experience as an RN, home health experience preferred. • Excellent interpersonal skills. • Experience working with individuals with MH/IDD preferred. • Experience in a training role preferred. • Must have a valid, unrestricted, state appropriate driver’s license for the State of North Carolina and personal vehicle insurance. • Must have reliable transportation that will allow movement throughout the program delivery area.Job Function:
