Position Summary: The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) functions primarily as a direct instructor of autism specific individualized interventions utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Technician will provide services to individuals enrolled in the Autism Clinical Services. RBT will be supervised by licensed psychologists and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). Basic Responsibilities: Responsibilities: • Responsible for implementation of skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs utilizing ABA principles, as designed by the BCBA. • Implements programming in one on one or group settings. • Collects and records data to track client behavior throughout intervention sessions, according to the guidelines provided by their clinical supervisor. • Completes required paperwork including, but not limited to, daily clinical notes and behavior tracking sheets. • Submits required paperwork in a timely manner. • Organizes and creates instructional materials. • Participates in training related to applied behavior analysis and autism, in order to ensure delivery of the highest quality of care to each individual served. • Attends supervision meetings with case supervisor, on a monthly (at minimum) or as-needed basis. • Works collaboratively and demonstrates a professional attitude with clinical team members including; Supervisor, Autism Technician, parents and other professionals to ensure continuity and quality of care for the individual. • Is receptive and responsive to supervision and feedback regarding job performance, from both supervisors and families. • Is punctual and reliable, showing up on time for each scheduled session. • Communicates and receives authorization from the supervisor for shift changes or time off. • Provides transportation to the participant as applicable to defined goals/outcomes. • Follows all ESUCP procedures as appropriate to position. Qualifications: Qualifications: • Applicants must be 18 years or older. • High School diploma or national equivalent from an appropriately accredited institution is required; college degree is preferred. • Preferred experience in Education, Child Development, Psychology or Applied Behaviour Analysis. • RBT Certification is required and must be maintained throughout employment. • Proven experience working with individuals with autism and their families. • Strong organization and time management skills. • Ability to work with staff, participants and the public in a professional and concerned manner. • Must possess unrestricted, state appropriate driver’s license and current vehicle insurance. Equipment Used: Tablet Internet Copier Shredder Motor Vehicle (personal and fleet) Essential physical requirements: • Must possess the visual acuity to develop written correspondence and determine accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned. • Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of talking, hearing, being on one’s feet for long periods of time and performing repetitive motions, such as using repeated gestures. • Must be able to speak audibly, write legibly and perform repetitive motions such as typing. • Must have physical stamina and ability to match energy level of participants, including floor play with small children, bending, stooping, and reaching. • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.Job Function:
