his individual is responsible for developing and executing programs designed to augment the Brown County United Way’s fundraising and relationship management strategies. This involves, but is not limited to, the annual workplace campaign, new business solicitations, developing year-round giving programs, donor recognition, planned giving programs and other strategies designed to build giving relationships with new and existing donors.
Areas of Responsibility:
Under the direction of and in cooperation with the Vice President of Resource Development and Communication shall:
- Develop and execute year-round giving programs
- Oversee a multi-million dollar workplace giving campaign
- Lead Brown County United Way’s Loaned Executive Program
- Assist in the planning and executing year-round special events
- Assist in attracting and retaining new business and donors
- Create and execute the campaign timeline, volunteer prospect list, and marketing needs assessment
- Lead campaign chairs and campaign cabinet in support of the annual giving campaign
- Maintain and update donor records using database ANDAR
- Collaborate with the Marketing Committee of the BCUW Board of Directors to:
- Prepare all campaign materials
- Develop segmented donor marketing materials
- Work on long and short range plans for the purpose of meeting the organization’s marketing and communication goals
- Attend continuous resource development staff education and training programs based on identified needs
- Solicit in-kind contributions and sponsorships
- Fosters relationships with Brown County area corporate leaders and senior management of all workplace campaign accounts
- Research, write and support grant applications as appropriate
- Assist on the planning and execution of annual donor recognition events
- Develop and execute thank you materials, both print and online
- Other duties as assigned
Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s degree is required, and/or equivalent experience and education,
Skills/Experience:
- A minimum of two years of experience in fundraising, sales, account or donor management. Public speaking ability and strong communication skills are also necessary.
- The ideal candidate will be: able to work collaboratively with a high-functioning team; experienced in creating innovative, mutually beneficial partnerships; and passionate about helping people in need and promoting community philanthropy.
