The Campaign Relationship Manager (CRM) is charged with growing and strengthening UWEC’s relationships with a select group of organizations and employee market segments within those organizations.   The CRM’s objectives are to maximize giving growth through a concerted effort to establish and grow meaningful relationships with company leadership, key influencers / stakeholders and priority donors in order to retain our current donor base and develop new business and new donor relationships.  He / She will be responsible for creating and executing the short and long term account plans for each organization to realize substantial revenue growth.  This outward facing role will require the candidate to be a leader who has the demonstrated ability to build strong, mutually beneficial relationships. In conjunction with the President and other staff, they will help develop and execute strategies to engage donors and improve the United Way’s revenue position.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Manage key corporate accounts / Individual relationships through building strong, mutually beneficial relationships
  • Conceptualize and execute a revenue plan that supports United Way’s goals, increases revenue, builds relationships with key audiences, and positions United Way as a leader in the community
  • Cultivate new business and new donor relationships and manage the strategies for these prospects
  • Effectively communicate with donors
  • Manage, motivate and develop volunteer leadership that connects companies and individuals with United Way
  • Track revenue generation, retention, visits and key business activity throughout the year producing regular progress reports
  • Represent United Way with courtesy, tact and discretion
  • Safeguard confidential information used in the performance of duties
  • Support the President, Board and staff in fulfilling UWEC’s mission
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree and/ or 5+ years development/sales/business experience and preferably 5+ years experience with United Way
Skills/Experience: 
  • A self-starter who is motivated and able to perform with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Quality relationship-building skills with the ability to listen well and relate to others
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Possess a pleasant attitude with the ability to be confidential when needed
  • Ability to develop, implement and manage work and project plans and meet deadlines/goals
  • Flexibility, adaptability and a commitment to continuous learning
  • Ability to effectively manage volunteers
  • Strong computer skills, particularly spreadsheets, databases and word processing; Social media/internet savvy
  • Commitment to excellence and to the mission of United Way
  • Valid driver’s license and use of own vehicle (with valid insurance coverage) for UWEC business
