The Community Relations Manager works closely with Executive Director (ED) as a member of the Leadership Team to develop, retain, and significantly grow the level of financial support and community engagement for United Way of Southeast Missouri (UWSEMO) and our network of partner agencies and programs. CRM is responsible for creating and maintaining relationships by developing, implementing, and managing marketing communications and workplace campaigns.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Aggressively identify, recruit, and develop prospects for new business development on a year-round basis, analyzing results and establishing measurable goals that reflect UWSEMO’s campaign objectives 
  • Enter and maintain current and accurate information in UWSEMO’s database on all prospects and assigned accounts 
  • Manage, lead, and motivate campaign volunteers and serve as year-round point of contact for workplace campaigns 
  • Help to develop and implement a multi-faceted strategic marketing plan, creating print and digital materials, public relations tactics, website updates, traditional and social media with emphasis on video and graphic design. 
  • Manage the planning and execution of special events and fundraising activities 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the ED.
Educational Background: 
College degree in communications or similar field
Skills/Experience: 
  • Superb written and oral communication skills
  • Extensive experience in Adobe Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop, and other common design and layout applications
  • Familiarity with video editing software, such as Movie Maker or Premiere Pro
  • Proven project management and organizational ability; sales experience a plus
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office and Constant Contact
