The United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania (UWSWPA) is seeking a driven, collaborative Corporate Relations Manager for our Butler office. For more than 90 years, the United Way has inspired donors in the region to invest in their community and address pressing economic and societal problems.
Would you like to create long-lasting change for the betterment of our community? The Corporate Relations Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies that create growth in donor engagement and investment in Butler County, PA. A critical member of our small but mighty team, you will have an assigned portfolio of accounts to research, cultivate and grow.
- Building relationships with management, human resources, marketing & communications, and other influential employees of local businesses
- Creating and expanding employee trust and support of United Way within local businesses
- Researching, identifying and prioritizing prospects (business and individuals) for cultivation and participation in campaign through corporate/personal gifts, planned giving opportunities, volunteer opportunities, and others
- Developing and coordinating strategic fundraising growth plans for companies and affinity groups within assigned portfolio
- Setting revenue goals for individual accounts based on evaluation of strengths and weaknesses and identify areas for potential growth
- Tracking fundraising results and projections; recommending tactics to meet goals
- Using creative thinking and multiple resources to develop new or improve existing revenue streams
- Developing growth strategies in targeted accounts for EITC funding
- Identifying, recruiting and motivating volunteers for the campaign and United Way committees in a timely manner
- Representing the United Way at community functions and activities to network
- Participating in meetings and training programs to enhance program knowledge and relationship-building skills (potential travel involved)
- Managing special projects as assigned (e.g., employee campaign manager training, campaign events planning, etc.)
- Fundraising skills, including prospecting, relationship building, making the ask, closing the deal, personal/professional appeal, etc.
- Public speaking skills, with emphasis on persuasiveness and negotiations
- Resourcefulness; analytical planning and problem-solving; and conflict resolution skills
- Strong organizational and strategic planning skills with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- High-energy, solutions-oriented individual who takes initiative with a positive outlook who can manage ambiguity and change
- Three to five years of outside account management, sales presentations, fundraising, and/or volunteer management experience required; Microsoft Office; donor databases
Salary: $31,000 to $40,000 per year
