Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania is a nonprofit organization providing programs and services for children and adults with disabilities. Annually, Easterseals serves more than 16,000 individuals with special needs in the western and central Pennsylvania area. The Easterseals Linda Lanham Zeszutek School Program is an approved private school for children with disabilities (ages 3-8). We have three school sites located in the greater Pittsburgh area: Export/Murrysville, Ross Township, and Baldwin/Whitehall.
We are currently looking to hire an Occupational Therapist to work at our Baldwin/Whitehall school site.
We follow a typical school calendar in that we operate from late August–early June. This full-time position is 30 hours per week and offers a very attractive and comprehensive benefit package. The hours are Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. During the month of July, we offer an Extended School Year program for those employees who wish to work a few extra hours.
- Providing occupational therapy evaluations/services to children using appropriate intervention strategies and techniques.
- Implementing interdisciplinary aspects of the IEP.
- Writing and maintaining records, evaluations, progress reports, IEP’s, etc.
- Providing home programs, when needed, and training to families and care givers.
- PA Occupational Therapy license (or eligible for license) required.
- Certification from National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. required.
- Completion of educational credits needed to maintain license/certification required.
- Prior pediatric experience preferred.
- Acceptable Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse History Clearance, & FBI Clearance required.
- Passing of physical examination /TB.
