Therapy Supervisor - Bakersfield

Under general supervision manage the daily operations of assigned therapy center(s) and the coordination of services delivered, program planning, and implementation of policies and procedures.

Basic Responsibilities:

Provide clinical supervision and work direction to therapists and administrative associates including training/skills enhancement, clinical consultation, and professional development. Develop, monitor, and provide discipline-specific treatment for children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD).

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited program in occupational therapy, physical therapy, or speech language pathology. Must possess and maintain a current state or national certification and/or licensure in accordance with California state practice.
  • Three years of experience with infant/young children with disabilities, including autism.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in licensed area of practice, transdisciplinary early intervention theories, and rehabilitation principles and practices.
  • Knowledgeable of evidence-based practices found to benefit children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Familiar with the field of early intervention.
  • Ability to maintain positive customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and safeguard the privacy of information when dealing with sensitive and/or confidential situations and documentation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, through oral and written skills, and work cooperatively with a variety of individuals and groups. Must relate well to children and their families and maintain positive affect.
  • Excellent clinical, administrative, and leadership skills.
  • Able to consistently demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Able to interpret and implement policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Very good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and related computer software.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a criminal record/fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation per Easterseals Southern California and/or program requirements.
  • Able to maintain a current CPR certification.
  • Ability to travel locally and between sites with reliable transportation; maintains driving record in compliance with Transportation Safety Standards, and must have and maintain proper auto insurance and vehicle registration.
