The Corporate Relations Manager will build and strengthen relationships in a small number of our strongest (and highest potential) companies. You will build and grow relationships with decision-makers and C-suite leaders, demonstrating initiative and development expertise as part of the UWGA team. You will develop, manage, and execute a comprehensive plan to build strategic year-round relationships that align with the mission, vision and values of UWGA and generate revenue that funds our community work. In addition, you will be responsible for articulating the power of the donor and corporate investment to United Way. This role will also be responsible for the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of all donors within their portfolio including Tocqueville donors and prospects.
Strategy:
- Design and execute collaborative year-round strategic plans
- Strategize with supervisor, peers, Major Gifts staff and other staff or volunteers to develop these robust year-round engagement strategies for each account based upon targeted research and CSR focus at each company.
Management:
- Manage account portfolio focused on raising resources and exceeding goals
- Work closely with key volunteers and executives within accounts to plan & implement workplace campaigns and implement year-round engagement strategies in portfolio.
- Facilitate internal CSR value stream team and discussion for their accounts
- Prepare clear and concise objectives and materials for each donor visit
Donor Engagement:
- Initiate and cultivate relationships with decision-makers and C-suite leaders
- Strategic engagement of companies year-round through creation and implementation of specific donor/corporate engagement strategies in partnership with CE and/or Volunteerism.
- Create a donor engagement strategy targeted at returning, new, lapsing, and lapsed donors
- Personally engage with leadership and Tocqueville donors to increase their participation and retention
- Solicit and secure corporate gifts in support of UWGA’s Child Well-Being Agenda
Data and Reporting:
- Strong attention to detail and focus on updating campaign and individual donor information in CRM including, but not limited to, corporate contact(s), employee count, UWGA involvement, company processing information, engagement practices, campaign start/end dates, etc.
- Work closely with Development Operations team and Pledge Processing as necessary to ensure processed accounts reflect audit paper work and envelopes are audited completely and correctly and project accurately.

- Use of personal vehicle required
Experience
- 5+ years fundraising or sales experience with excellent communication skills
- Volunteer management experience a plus
