The internship opportunities are open to current students or recent graduates of a college program. The intern is expected to demonstrate a keen interest in nonprofits, as well as interest in a field of study related to the position.
The Intern will be a part of the International Network Operations & Engagement Team, whose overarching objective is to support our regional offices and teams to enable United Ways across the globe to more fully realize a shared mission and goals by leveraging support (resources, people, and info) both from United Way Worldwide (UWW) and from within the network itself. While reporting to the IN-Operations Manager, this intern position will help the IN-Vice President and other team members on projects.
- Prepare an annual survey for the 2020 season that will be distributed to all members
- Train regional teams on survey updates
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to enhance the survey
- Assist in the consolidation of annual work plans
- Help with database clean up efforts (salesforce)
- Flexible and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and communication skills along with demonstrated leadership ability
- Must have a good understanding of math, excel, and standard analysis functions
- Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Project management and team leadership experience preferred
- International exposure and/or with multi-cultural groups preferred
- Experience working with virtual/online teams preferred
- $100 semi-monthly travel stipend provided
