The Philanthropy Office Assistant will support the Philanthropy Department with processing and managing YMCA of the Rockies memberships, clerical duties and other department support functions.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Membership:
    • Process membership applications
    • Run National Sex Offender Registry checks on new/renewing adult members
    • Run monthly membership renewal notices
    • Drop lapsed members monthly
    • Provide updated membership lists for association
    • Explain membership benefits and cabin priority booking process to stakeholders
  • Clerical/department support:
    • Manage digital and paper filing of necessary documents
    • Record and distribute philanthropy team meeting minutes
    • Assist with prospect research of members and donors
    • Provide donor profiles for philanthropy outreach as needed
    • Coordinate philanthropy related travel for CEO and Director of Philanthropy, as needed
    • Support event planning and related duties, including online events
Skills/Experience: 
  • Be able to perform various routine clerical duties
  • Be able to utilize standard office equipment such as computer, fax machine, copy machine, telephone
  • Have accurate and proficient typing and computer data entry skills
  • Possess good customer service skills; must be friendly, personable, helpful, patient, and professional
  • Be able to work well with frequent interruptions in a busy office environment
  • Be a quick learner and be able to handle multiple tasks
  • Be highly organized and complete tasks in a timely and efficient basis
  • Be detail-oriented and accurate in all work
  • Work independently, be responsible and self-motivated
  • Have an unwavering ability to maintain strict confidentiality concerning membership and donor matters
Compensation/Benefits: 

This is a full-time, year-round position paying $18/hour with full benefits and employee perks including:
