Our mission is to fuel local and global movements that shift power to LGBTQI people and organizations pursuing social justice and human rights. We do this by providing support in the form of grantmaking, philanthropic advocacy, communications, and capacity building.

Our programmatic pillars foster powerful collective action by:

Investing in LGBTQI activists, artists and organizations who have limited access to funding but are best positioned to make transformative change,

Advocating for greater and better philanthropic resources for LGBTQI movements, helping funding reach those who need it most,

Amplifying LGBTQI movement voices through media and communications to raise awareness and shift the narrative, and

Propelling LGBTQI organizing forward through capacity-building and leadership development.

About Us
Areas of Focus:
Mission:

East End House community center uses a holistic approach to promote the well-being, academic achievement, and successful transition to adulthood of children and youth from under-resourced families in Cambridge and surrounding communities. As part of this approach, East End House provides support services to a diverse population, from infants to seniors, to strengthen family and community.

Programs:

Originally established in 1875 to serve under-resourced families, East End House is one of Greater Boston’s earliest social service centers. A Theory of Change blueprint aligns all programming to the long-term goal of youth completing at least two years of post-secondary education or finding gainful employment by age 24. East End House offers a wide variety of programs and services that support families and individuals of every age and ability, improve self-sufficiency, and provide emergency aid. Programs include child care and afterschool programs that provide youth the tools they need for life-long academic and social success, as well as wrap-around services – including parent education classes, a resource and referral program, senior support services, volunteer and community outreach programs, and an Emergency Food Program – that foster a healthy community.
