Mission:

We remove barriers to health with relentless compassion so that no one faces illness and injustice alone.

LIFELONG HAS ALWAYS BEEN AN ORGANIZATION THAT STANDS UP FOR COMMUNITIES FACING ILLNESS AND INJUSTICE.

Everyone deserves the chance to live their healthiest life, but that vision is out of reach for far too many people. For nearly 40 years, Lifelong has fought for marginalized communities with relentless compassion—because no one should have to battle stigma, judgment, or the devastating effects of illness alone. Our wraparound care model supports the whole person by breaking down barriers and improving access to nutritious food, stable housing, and vital health resources for people living with diabetes, HIV, kidney disease, and other life-challenging illnesses. Our community support network fills the gaps in broken systems and ensures that everyone has an equitable opportunity to thrive.

Why Work For Us?:

Are you passionate about Health Equity?

When you work at Lifelong, you become part of the mission to remove barriers to health with relentless compassion so no one faces illness and injustice alone.

Lifelong offers a compassionate workplace environment, competitive salaries, ongoing training opportunities, and high job satisfaction.

Lifelong is an Equal Opportunity Employer serving people of various communities and backgrounds. We seek applicants who value diversity and inclusivity. Women, People of Color, and members of the LGBTQIA+ Community are encouraged to apply.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Westchester and Putnam

Overview
Headquarters:
Port Chester, NY
Founded:
1958
About Us
Areas of Focus:
Mission:

Our mission is to help all youth achieve their full potential in school and in life. We do that by providing young people who face adversity with professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. We operate under a Big/Little model which matches adult volunteers (our Bigs) with youth ages 7 to 17 (our Littles).

Programs:

Big Brothers Big Sisters of America is the oldest and largest youth mentoring program in the United States. BBBS started over a century ago to match caring adult volunteers with children in one-to-one mentoring relationships.

Today, there are 238 Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies in over 5,000 communities across the United States. More than 275,000 mentors volunteer their time as Bigs and we made over 135,000 new mentoring matches last year alone.

Our chapter, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Westchester & Putnam, was established in 1958. We currently serve hundreds of children throughout New York’s Westchester and Putnam counties through community-based and school-based mentoring programs.
