Conservation Legacy engages future leaders who protect, restore, and enhance our nation’s lands through community-based service.

Programs: 

For over 20 years, Conservation Legacy has been engaging individuals to complete important conservation projects throughout the nation, envisioning a legacy of healthy lands, air and water; thriving people and resilient communities.

Conservation Legacy provides support for local conservation service programs under the leadership of a national organization, delivering high-quality programming in communities across the country to produce enduring impact through local action.  Conservation Legacy supports eight specific conservation corps that serve nationwide. 

PROGRAMS 

Ancestral Lands Conservation Corps 

Ancestral Lands operates in local tribal communities, as well as within other programs. Rooted in the culture and heritage of these communities, Indigenous youth and young adults can join conservation and leadership development crews, individual placements and Hiking Clubs.

Appalachian Conservation Corps

Appalachian Conservation Corps is based in the Shenandoah Valley Region. The Harrisonburg, VA office operates adult and youth conservation crews, leadership development programs and individual placements.

Arizona Conservation Corps 

Arizona Conservation Corps is a statewide program with offices in Pinetop-Lakeside, Tucson, and Flagstaff, AZ operating adult and youth conservation crews, Veterans Fire Corps, Ancestral Lands programming, and individual placements.

Conservation Corps New Mexico 

Conservation Corps New Mexico, based in Las Cruces, operates conservation crews, small botany teams, Veterans Fire Corps, and individual placements, serving the greater New Mexico and western Texas regions.

Conservation Corps North Carolina 

Conservation Corps North Carolina is our newest program based out of Raleigh, NC. Conservation Corps North Carolina operates adult and youth conservation crews.

Southeast Conservation Corps 

Southeast Conservation Corps is based in Chattanooga, TN and serves the greater Tennessee region. Its programs include adult and youth conservation crews, American Sign Language Inclusion conservation crews, Veterans Fire Corps, and individual placements.

Southwest Conservation Corps 

Southwest Conservation Corps has two regional offices in Durango and Salida, CO. and operates adult, youth, and high school conservation crews, small botany teams, Veterans Fire Corps, Ancestral Lands programming and individual placements.

Stewards Individual Placements

Stewards Individual Placements is a nationwide program operating in nearly all 50 states. Stewards is based in Beckley, WV and Durango, CO and supports interns in various environmental stewardship programs across the country.

Londonderry School is a unique non-profit elementary school located in Harrisburg, PA.
Londonderry was founded in 1971 by a small group of parents and two teachers with a mission to provide a child-centered education. It now encompasses up to 200 students from preschool through 8th grade. Our chosen path is to help each child reach their full potential in a loving, safe, supportive, and fun atmosphere.

Methodist Healthcare Ministries takes a community-wide, or regional, approach to health improvement with intentional investments in each region—a strategy Methodist Healthcare Ministries refers to as regionalization. Through community engagement, Methodist Healthcare Ministries works to infuse health equity principles by highlighting the social determinants of health—the unique social and physical conditions in which community members live, learn, work, play and pray—that are present in its service region to improve health for all.
