Mission: 

Spark Ventures' mission is to provide sustainable solutions to lift communities out of poverty and empower future leaders.

Programs: 

Spark Ventures directs human and financial resources to grassroots partner organizations in Chicago, Mexico, Nicaragua and Zambia. We provide strategic guidance and funding to support the following programs:

Chicago: Educational support and activities for 60 children and salary support for adults in Chicago's Englewood neighborhood. Recent projects include support for summer camp in a safe, loving & nurturing environment and a new computer lab.

Mexico: Educational support for at-risk youth, capacity building for women entrepreneurs, environmentalism. Recent projects include a small group tutoring program for students who fell behind while schools were closed due to COVID, and creating local partnerships for the women entrepreneurs.

Nicaragua: Educational support for at-risk youth, vocational skills programming for teens & adults, and women entrepreneurs. Recent projects include microloan investments, literacy classes for mothers, materials & supplies for vocational program graduates. 

Zambia: Education, healthcare, and nutrition for 450 children and jobs for more than 30 adults. Recent projects include a vegetable farm that was launched to provide food and revenue to invest in the school, a computer lab & chromebooks for the teachers, clinic improvements, and a new library.
