Youth Market Specialist

The American Heart Association - Founders Affiliate is recruiting to fill a newly created part time opportunity to join our Youth Market team as a Youth Market Specialist . The Youth Market Specialist will provide support to the Youth Market Directors by assisting them with recruitment, online fundraising strategies and campaign analysis to identify areas to enhance the campaign and assist the Youth Market Director with agreed upon strategies. This position will be part time (4 hours per day), 20 hours per week through May 31, 2019.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Recruitment

  • In consultation with the Youth Market Director, identify schools and districts for recruitment purposes.
  • Set appointments for the Youth Market Director with Superintendents, Athletic Directors, Physical Educators or any key decision maker.

Online

  • Assist the Youth Market Director by creating emails to past online donors.
  • Send emails to coordinators to assist in increasing online fundraising.
  • Create strategies with the Youth Market Director to increase online fundraising.

Campaign Analysis

  • Monitor envelopes out dates vs fundraising activities for the Youth Market Director and update the Youth Market Director and assist as needed.
  • Alert the Youth Market Director of any potential problems as it relates to the online fundraising campaign and assist in corrective strategies.

The Youth Market Specialist will report to the VP Youth Market. The position will be home office based within the borders of the Founders Affiliate (NJ to Maine).

Educational Background: 
Must have earned a high school diploma or GED. College degree or some college preferred.

  • Education: Related experience may be substituted as follows: 1 ½ years experience equates to 1 full time year of higher education.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in administrative support that includes experience supporting multiple directors and/or supporting fundraising events is highly desirable. This experience may also count towards satisfying this position’s educational requirement.
