This position is responsible for leading and coaching a team of MSABC Specialists as they recruit and cultivate teams for the MSABC walk. In this role your focus will be to develop a group of 10 – 15 MSABC Specialists who will identify people inside of corporations and businesses that may have an interest in the issue of breast cancer, and would like to get involved with Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. The teams focus will initially be on recruiting potential Team Leaders and inviting them to our kickoff event. After the kickoff MSABC Specialists will continue to build relationships with these individuals by providing coaching, motivation, sharing recruitment strategies, and providing information to build their teams to reach their fundraising goals.This position requires that the MSABC Team Supervisors lead their team so they provide a high level of customer service to support team development and fundraising utilizing a range of tools including websites and social media. This position will last approximately 24 weeks, beginning in mid-May and supporting MSABC events through October 2018.
- Successfully demonstrate the ability to perform all Specialist duties by being able to effectively recruit and coach MSABC Team Leaders to reach their team fundraising goals
- Develop and manage a team who can effectively recruit and prospect for MSABC Team Leaders by phone within a call center environment to fundraise and participate in various MSABC events
- Accurately track cultivation activities and fundraising progress using event database while speaking with the constituent on the phone
- Provide ongoing effective coaching, feedback, motivation and support to team members to ensure their MSABC Team Supervisor needs and expectations are met
- Responsible for team’s quality during all phases of the project. Will regularly perform quality assurance monitoring of their team members to ensure effective recruiting techniques are utilized, cultivation activities are entered correctly, and team members can quickly build rapport with MSABC Team Leaders as they fundraise leading up to the event
- Responsible for your team’s progress in achieving their assigned MSABC Team’s fundraising goals, team leader goals and other event and team related goals and metrics
- Responsible for personal team recruitment and cultivation goal
- Responsible for ongoing communication with MSABC Manager, Director, local event staff and leadership• Be able to work 37.5 hours per week
- Available to work a flexible schedule between the hours of 8:30 am - 9 pm: Monday – Friday (limited, but some evening work may be required throughout the project)
- Self-motivated, goal oriented, and ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and have a proven record of motivating and inspiring others
- Previous experience in a leadership or management position providing feedback or coaching to others
- Must be comfortable spending 25% - 40% of each day on the phone recruiting with their team members
- Possess excellent active listening skills
- Must maintain an excellent attendance record during this project
- Exceptional verbal communication, persuasion, and motivation skills
- Ability to make effective decisions quickly
- Strong customer service & sales skills
- Prior experience working with volunteers a plus
- Prior experience working in a call center environment
- Able to adapt and thrive in a fast pace environment
- Able to communicate accurately and effectively using email
- Experience with social media & web site navigation
- Accurate data entry skills, proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, database and spreadsheets• Ability to accurately type 50 WPM
- Possess and exhibit an outgoing, friendly positive demeanor

- Ability/willingness to learn and apply new skills quickly
- Employ discretion, tact, and empathy; pro-active and intuitive people skills
- Previous outbound sales call, community outreach, customer service and/or tele-service industry experience preferred
- Non-profit/Fundraising experience a plus• Non-Smoker
