Under the direction of the Facilities Manager, the Janitor is responsible for general maintenance, routine cleaning, sweeping and mopping Easterseals facilities and its grounds and special projects.
Full-Time position with benefits; 40hrs./wk, M-F, 3pm-11:30pm
Areas of Responsibility:
- General maintenance of the facility, grounds and equipment
- Dust, clean, sweep, mop, vacuum, strip, wax and buff floors including restrooms
- Remove trash
- Light yard work
- Assembly of light equipment/furniture
- Change light bulbs as needed
- Snow cleaning and De-icing of walkways in winter
- Moving furniture as needed
- Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repair
- Make adjustments and minor repairs
- Stock and maintain supplies i.e. restroom supplies
- Perform other related duties as required.

Educational Background:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Skills/Experience:
- Familiar with: Janitorial Equipment, Yard Equipment, Hand tools, Electrical, mechanical and gas powered equipment, if needed
- Knowledge of cleaning supplies
- Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
- Independently follows through on assignments
- This position may be authorized to have access to protected Health Information (PHI) to perform specific job duties.
- A Minimum of one year general knowledge of janitorial and light maintenance responsibilities and mechanical knowledge required
