United Way of Washington County (www.unitedwaywashco.org) Board of Directors is seeking to fill the position of President and Chief Executive Officer in Washington, PA.
The President leads, manages and directs the total operation and all activities of United Way, including providing direction to staff and ensuring proper fiscal and operational management in accordance with all acceptable standards of business and regulatory agencies. Planning the Annual Community Fundraising Campaign, establishing goals and coordinating United Way’s Community Impact Grants process are among the president’s primary responsibilities.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's Degree
Skills/Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in the leadership and management of a nonprofit organization of comparable size
- Extensive fundraising experience, including creating new and innovative community partnerships, special events, programs, revenue sources, and strategies to increase philanthropic support
- Exceptional communication skills in verbal, written and media applications, with the ability to convey ideas/goals through extensive public speaking, writing feature articles and designing campaign materials
- Proven ability to establish and build relationships with persons at all levels within the public, private and nonprofit sectors to improve conditions in the community
