Maverick Collective is an innovative philanthropic model that is creating a network of women philanthropists and advocates who are investing in the health and rights of girls and women. These philanthropists – known as members of the Collective – invest their intellectual and financial resources to help solve challenges faced by women and girls in developing countries. Maverick Collective is co-chaired by Her Royal Highness the Crown Princess of Norway Mette Marit and Melinda Gates.

Maverick Collective seeks a Sr. Associate Partnerships Manager responsible for engaging with and managing a portfolio of individual philanthropic donors and partners at the $1M+ level. We are looking for a dynamic individual who is energized about a new model of philanthropic partnership. This person will manage the life-cycle of philanthropic partnerships, from initial program design through to implementation, including tracking learning and results, reporting to donors, and liaising with the in-country team and technical staff at PSI.

The Partnerships Manager will work directly with Maverick Collective members to help them become informed advocates for the issues they care about and be fully engaged in the work they are funding.

Areas of Responsibility: 

You will lead a portfolio of partnerships and projects, ensuring new projects are designed and scoped effectively, and fostering collaboration and agility in project implementation. You will serve as the primary point of contact for Maverick Collective members throughout their partnership with PSI. The ability to build trust and relationships, problem solve, and manage complexity is critical to success in this role.  

Partner Relationship Management

  • Engage portfolio of 6-8 Maverick Collective members, ensuring excellence in delivering membership experience and serving as the main point of contact for the donor during their partnership with PSI
  • In partnership with the communications team and Maverick Community Manager, delight members with tailored learning and engagement plans for members that enhance their knowledge of global health and help them use their voice and talent in their work
  • Partner with Deputy Director to challenge and refine member service model to ensure partners have the best possible experience

Project Design and Coordination

  • Manage end-to-end project design and development process, coordinating internal stakeholders including technical and field teams and ensuring member is fully integrated in the process
  • Ensure full alignment of program design with PSI strategic priorities and goals
  • With field team, coordinate project implementation team, including tracking and reporting on results and learning, handling course correction and strategic realignment as necessary
  • In collaboration with Maverick Community Manager, create meaningful opportunities for connection between projects and members, identifying strategic points to share learning and knowledge across the organization and community of practice
  • Lead execution of trips to the field with members to view projects and engage with the team on the ground
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree preferred but not required.

Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • 5-7+ years’ experience in account management. Experience working with high-net worth donors and/or with membership-based organizations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to deeply connect with a range of individuals who have a broad range of backgrounds and expertise.
  • Demonstrable interest and experience in international development, public health, women and girls and poverty alleviation highly desirable
