We are a dynamic team based in Washington, DC and around the world. We are adept at operating in a diffuse, resource constrained environment to apply clear-eyed and modern business and marketing approaches that generate real improvements in the lives of those we serve. We add value by diffusing marketing and market development best practices and tools that take our developing country operations to the next level.

We are looking for a Healthcare Networks Advisor to work strategically, and practically, on improving PSI’s support for healthcare networks, within the broader context of private sector engagement. You will work in support of global, market grouping and country teams responsible for delivering healthcare through (mostly private) provider networks. • Act as the healthcare networks technical lead on existing project commitments (e.g. PSI’s social franchise lead on SHOPS+).

Funding

  • Contribute to and help initiate new business development, specifically related to healthcare networks, the private sector and primary healthcare.
  • Coordinate support to the establishment of PSI’s evidence base for work with healthcare networks in the private sector (e.g. the collation of Health Service Reporting data).

Influence

  • Prepare presentations, reports, and analyses in other forms, to capture and share key learning internally and externally in relation to private sector healthcare networks.
  • Represent PSI in key forums associated with healthcare networks and the private sector, as appropriate.
Educational Background:
A bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant subject area
Skills/Experience:

The candidate we hire will embody PSI’s corporate values:

  • Collaboration: You can work independently, but thrive within a team.

  • Pragmatism: You dive in and maintain momentum even when things are ambiguous and you don’t let perfect get in the way of good enough.
  • Honesty: You aren’t afraid to speak up and speak your mind.
  • Measurement: You set clear and challenging goals and hold yourself accountable to driving measurable results.
  • Commitment: You’re independent and a free thinker, but you’re ready to buy in to the direction of the team and commit to its success.

The basics:

  • 5+ years’ experience in public health or management consulting and/or experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare industry.
  • At least one year of experience living and working in low and middle-income countries.

  • Experience in understanding of the financial, clinical, marketing and operational functions of a healthcare network.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Availability for international and domestic travel (estimated at 25%).
  • References will be required.
  • The succesful candidate will be required to pass a background check.
