Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania is a non-profit organization providing programs and services to individuals with disabilities and other special needs. We are looking to hire a Maintenance Worker to be responsible for maintaining the buildings and grounds associated with our Franklin Division Office.
The Maintenance Worker will work part-time, with varying hours and days, Sundays thru Saturdays.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Assist with any and all maintenance duties assigned by supervisor. This could include, but not be limited to: fixing and replacing broken equipment, replacing light fixtures, cleaning gutters, etc.
- Conduct monthly safety checklist within facility.
- Maintain outdoor property.
- Perform basic carpentry duties.
- Handle small maintenance jobs (plumbing, furnace, etc.) or assist in contacting companies to handle these jobs.
- Paint and do touch up paint jobs as needed.
- Oversee maintenance of Easterseals van.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Educational Background:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
Skills/Experience:
- Basic carpentry skills preferred.
- Current valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and acceptable driving record obtained through the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation required.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Acceptable Criminal Record Check required.
- Acceptable Child Abuse History Clearance required.
- Acceptable FBI Clearance required.
- Acceptable Act 168 Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure forms required.
- Passing of physical examination and TB required.
