Community Impact and 2-1-1 Coordinator

Serve as the primary liaison to the Allocations process volunteers, committees, Funded Programs and affiliated agencies. Build relationships and develop partnerships that lead to long-term impact for the community. Support the Director of Community Impact/2-1-1 Liaison with impact, 2-1-1 and one initiative.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Community Impact

  • Provide technical assistance to Funded Programs as needed.
  • Ensure the allocation of resources in accordance with established priorities and needs emphasizing considerations of accountability, efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Be an ambassador for United Way particularly with agency relations and coalitions.
  • Cultivate projects with in local organizations for volunteer engagement.
  • Cultivate funded programs for Donor Tours.
  • Work with a cross functional team on Product Development to engage donors.
  • Lead the Fit Kids Fit Future Initiative, including volunteer and site engagement, data tracking, customer service and support to participating programs, outcome measurement and reporting.
  • Coordinate the Emergency Food and Shelter efforts with FEMA.
  • Assist with United Way fund-raising efforts.
  • Other projects as designated by CI Director & CEO.

2-1-1 Mid-York

  • Provide assistance to the Call Center with any new, current and updated community service agencies and/or programs information.
  • Oversee current information and add updates to the website as needed.
  • Ensure all data provided to the Call Center and website are accurate and follow the inclusion and exclusion policies.
  • Provide the Call Center and update the website for any agency and/or program seasonal (i.e.- holiday, special) offerings information and disaster reports and services.
  • Coordinate advocacy calls, meetings with local and regional representatives and rally (email, letter) support for 2-1-1 to receive funding for 2-1-1 in the annual State Budget.Skills.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in Sociology or a closely related field and some experience relating to program analysis and needs assessment

Critical attributes:

Ability to build consensus, collaborate with and convene multiple partners in efforts that produce specific deliverables and demonstrable outcomes. Ability to meet aggressive deadlines and handle multiple priorities. Proficiency in attending to detail with ability to organize, prioritize and work independently and effectively contribute within team setting. Excellent analytical ability and superior problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, listening, writing and facilitation skills. Public speaking and fundraising skills are a must.
