Independent Education Sales Consultant: NY, NM, FL, TX

Center for the Collaborative Classroom is seeking educators with strong literacy expertise as Independent Sales Consultants to support our regional market expansion in our So. Florida, New Mexico, East New York and West Texas territories. This role reports to a State or Regional Director and is a commission-based position.

Areas of Responsibility: 

The Consultants expand our impact in classrooms by managing their assigned territory through all phases of the relationship building process. Consultants and their staff (if applicable) design strategic initiatives to expand market share through pre-implementation, territory and pipeline management and Implementation support phases, including:

●      Understanding of local funding, district initiatives to identify how Collaborative Classroom programs can support these needs 

●      Building relationships with state and local associations:

          ▪       Identify potential schools and districts to set up pilots and set up professional development and benchmarks to measure the pilot impact 

          ▪       Leverage professional network for market penetration and annual revenue of over $1M

          ▪       Manage contacts key decision-makers at schools/districts expressing interest 

          ▪       Identify, set up, and host events to invite educators for professional learning experiences

●      Identify conferences to attend, present and exhibit (as appropriate) and follow up with attendees

●      Plan online campaigns with the internal marketing team 

●      Utilize current customer list to check in on implementation, set up professional learning support, and expand Collaborative Classroom programs

●      Collaborate with internal personnel, schools and districts with quotes and purchase orders

●      Coordinate with State or Regional Director and Director of Professional Learning to plan and schedule implementation support

Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree; Teaching Credential (preferred)
Skills/Experience: 

Successful Consultants have demonstrated sales experience in professional learning, teaching, coaching, or administration with the ability to prioritize, plan and execute sales strategies. Additional expertise includes:

●      Strong knowledge of K–8 pedagogy and best practices in literacy instruction

●      Strong written and oral communication skills

●      Data savvy and technology skills:

o   Facility with Google Suite, Mac OS, MS Office Suite, and shared filing systems

o   Presence and facility with Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn

o   SalesForce (preferred)

●      Travel expected: 30%
