Senior Specialist – Resource Development

Habitat for Humanity International(HFHI) is seeking a talented individual for our Sr. Specialist – Resource Development position. This position will provide a high level of customer service and support to affiliates in regards to resource development. The high level of customer service will foster trust between affiliates and HFHI. This position will enable front line HFHI fundraisers to focus on fundraising by shifting the affiliate fundraising inquiries to this position.

Areas of Responsibility: 

The Sr. Specialist – Resource Development will manage the process of ensuring Habitat for Humanity affiliates have the necessary information about Habitat for Humanity International resource development, and foster a collaborative environment by providing quality customer service to address affiliate inquiries about resource development.

  • Provide top-notch support to affiliates in answering questions and inquiries regarding resource development.
  • Coordinate with multiple departments to gather information to answer affiliate resource development questions.
  • Foster collaboration between HFHI’s development staff and U.S. affiliates
  • Coordinate affiliate communication from HFHI about HFHI fundraising activities
  • Create communications for affiliates to proactively inform affiliates about HFHI fundraising activities
  • Support a culture of collaboration between HFHI and U.S. affiliates in fundraising activities
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree required
Skills/Experience: 
  • 3-5 years related work experience
  • Experience in various aspects of fundraising within a nonprofit organization
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and a general comfort level working with technology systems (SharePoint, webpage design and online meeting software, etc.)
  • Proven expertise and success in fundraising with a variety of donor types (individual, faith-based, corporate, foundation) via an array of strategies (direct mail, events, individual asks, planned giving).
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the HFH mission
  • Excellent verbal & written communication
  • Outstanding ability to work with others; high EQ
  • Proven ability to deliver tangible impact while handling competing priorities in a ‘fast paced’ environment, and exhibit efficient time management and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly collect information from internal and external sources, synthesize and summarize for senior executive review.
