Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the Administrative Floater provides administrative office and technical support to assigned departments. Activities support the work of United Way by assisting with seasonal needs and temporary increases in demand in various departments throughout the organization.
This position will provide support to the Loaned Executive Program from late August to early December as a Loaned Executive Assistant for Development during campaign season and general office administration support for other departments as assigned by the Human Resources Manager.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Coordinates campaign supplies for United Way Staff and Loaned Executives during the Fall Workplace Giving Campaign.
- Assists in coordination of multiple speakers at campaign events as outlined by the Speakers Bureau process.
- Provides office administration support for Loaned Executives, including creating charts, signs, and other visual aids to support campaign presentations.
- Performs data entry and data verification according to established procedures using data entry devices, data entry screens, or data handling systems. Verifies data to ensure accuracy of completed work; scans and edits for errors during processing.
- Performs various administrative and technical support to other teams to help with priority needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Educational Background:
The successful candidate will possess a High School diploma or equivalent certification with supplemented by completion of an advanced course in administrative, technical, or related field. AA degree preferred.
Skills/Experience:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong command of business English grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high-quality standards
- Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Data entry, basic office, and math skills
- Effective time management, initiative, and project coordination skills
- Positive and effective interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proven ability to serve more than one customer at a time in an efficient and positive manner.
- Three years’ experience in office administration or related work.
Compensation/Benefits:
The annualized recruitment range is $ 40,500 to $ 43,000, depending on experience.
