Basic Responsibilities:
- Instructs program participants to facilitate learning and skill development of specific job duties. Gradually decreases direct assistance so participant can work independently
- Assists participant in developing natural supports in and out of the work place so participant can function independently
- Ensures the communication and documentation of daily case notes
- Assists in the development of job sites, coordinating public relations, and community interaction
- Develops and implements specific task analysis for work related skills as needed
- Assists in the assessment process, the development implementation, and documentation of the Individual Habilitation Component (IHC)
- Ensures effective working relationships with participants, their family members, referral agencies, community resources, Easterseals staff members, and employers
Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate effectively, through oral and written skills, with all levels of staff and the general public
- Ability to obtain fingerprint/abuse index clearance from Community Care Licensing, if program requires.
- Valid CPR and First Aid Certifications.
- Ability to pass post-offer medical examination.
- Ability to travel locally, reliable transportation, proof of valid California driver’s license, proper auto insurance, and vehicle registration
